GERMS Nerawareta Machi or GERMS The Targeted Town, is a 1999 Japan exclusive PS1 game developed by KAJ Corporation.
A highly experimental game for the time; GERMS is an open-world RPG/Sim where you investigate and combat a covert alien threat. Filled with immersive elements such as near complete player freedom, diverse modes of transportation, a time/day system and even an alternative player state; GERMS can come off as intimidating; when in reality, it's actually a quite forgiving linear experinece.
This site will lightly go over a little bit of everything and will contain spoilers. I'm hoping this will encourage people to try the game for themselves and also serve as a handy reference if you ever get lost or confused. The site actually started as a little notebook for myself and an exercise in UI design as the game has a unique art style!
